Angela Roloson Reading

I am Angela Roloson and I write about overcoming adversity. My debut memoir, Cancer Taught Me: A Memoir of Experience, Strength, & Hope was published in March of 2025.

This is a memoir about the lessons learned as I simultaneously battled alcoholism and breast cancer. My second book is a nonfiction book about maintaining resilience while acting as a family caregiver. This is a book for teens and adults cast in the role of caregiver, and the title and release date are TBD.

Angela Roloson’s memoir is a brave and beautifully written testament to the power of recovery and resilience. By weaving together her journey through alcoholism and cancer, she offers a deeply personal,
yet universally relatable, story of healing. It is an inspiring and unforgettable read.

This isn’t just for people battling illness, it’s for everyone. It’s about human connection, the will to live, and how one small act of love can shift an entire life. I think we all need to be reminded of that. Five stars without hesitation.

Where Does Resiliency Come From?

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2011. I was 46 years old. I was also a single mother, a high school English teacher, and an alcoholic still stumbling my way through recovery. Resilient is not a word I would have used to describe myself on that day in...
